• Check-in Records: Including check-in date and time, stored only locally on your device.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do NOT collect any of the following information:

• Location information (GPS, IP address, etc.)
• Contact information
• Photo albums or media files
• Phone or SMS records
• Usage of other apps
• Any sensitive personal information

3. Data Storage Principles

3.1 Local Storage Priority

We adopt a "local storage priority" principle. The following data is stored only locally on your device and will not be uploaded to our servers:

• Your user nickname
• Emergency contact email
• All check-in record history
• App settings and preferences

This data is stored in your device's local database, and only you can access it. Even if you uninstall the app, this data will be deleted along with it.

3.2 Server-Side Data

Our server only stores the following minimal information, used to send reminder emails in abnormal situations:

• Emergency contact email (for sending emails)
• Abnormal trigger time (for determining whether to send an email)

Important: Our server cannot view your check-in records, user nickname, or other personal information. We can only see the fact that "a device triggered an abnormal alert at a certain time", but we cannot know who you are, where you are, or what you did.

4. Purpose of Data Use

We use your information only for the following purposes:

• Provide Core Features: Record your daily check-ins and help you build a safety log.
• Abnormal Alerts: When detecting that you haven't checked in for 3 consecutive days, send a reminder email to your designated emergency contact.
• App Improvement: Anonymous usage statistics (such as app crash reports) to improve app stability.

We will NOT use your information for:

• Advertising or marketing
• Data analysis or user profiling
• Sharing or selling to third parties
• Any other commercial purposes

5. Permission Usage

5.1 Minimum Permission Principle

We follow the "minimum permission principle" and do not request any unnecessary permissions. This app does not require the following permissions to function normally:

• Location permission (GPS, network location)
• Contact permission
• Camera or photo album permission
• Phone or SMS permission
• Notification permission (optional, only for check-in reminders)

5.2 Optional Permissions

Notification Permission: If you choose to enable it, we only use it to remind you to check in at your set time. You can turn off this permission in system settings at any time.

Your local data is stored in the device's secure storage area, protected at the operating system level. We use an encrypted local database (SQLite) to store your information.

When we need to send an abnormal alert request to the server, we use HTTPS encryption to ensure data security during transmission.

You have complete control over your data:

• Right to Access: You can view all your data in the app at any time
• Right to Modify: You can modify your nickname, emergency contact email, and other settings at any time
• Right to Delete: You can delete the app at any time, and all local data will be deleted along with it
• Right to Export: You can export your check-in records (future versions will support this)

9. Data Retention

9.1 Local Data

Your local data will remain on your device until you actively delete the app or clear app data.

9.2 Server Data

The minimal information stored on the server (emergency contact email) will be deleted in the following situations:

• You actively delete the app and request deletion of server data
• No app usage for 90 consecutive days (considered as user abandonment)
• You contact us via email to request deletion

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is intended for users aged 9 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 9. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete such information.

11. Privacy Policy Updates

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. For significant changes, we will notify you in the app or via email. Continued use of our service indicates your acceptance of the updated privacy policy.
